I have heard this tern used and certainly the character traits described are negative and suggestive of damaging pride. But when new terms are coined, there are books/media that are used to define the newly coined term (in this case a word).When Jesus spoke, his authority (which came from his Father) and the context in which he spoke, together with the Mosaic Law and Prophets provides the source for the definition for the words. The book used is the Bible.

So when other people write books and coin terms, remember the term can get loaded, like a gun, with meanings that gets deployed after the term has come into common usage. The authority used to deploy the meaning can be the author's/media of the literature. Jesus Christ is our mediator, the Governing Body and their Watchtower media company seeks to replace Jesus' authority with their own.

A narcissus is a daffodil and is named after a Greek myth. A myth about a man, called Narcissus looking into a pool of water and falling in love with his own reflection.

But the Bible is not a myth and speaks about reflection in this way - its talking about your conscience.

(James 1:22-25) . . .However, become doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves with false reasoning. 23 For if anyone is a hearer of the word, and not a doer, this one is like a man looking at his natural face in a mirror. 24 For he looks at himself, and off he goes and immediately forgets what sort of man he is. 25 But he who peers into the perfect law that belongs to freedom and who persists in [it], this [man], because he has become, not a forgetful hearer, but a doer of the work, will be happy in his doing [it]. . .

The only use of the word Narcissus that I can find in the Bible is:-

(Romans 16:11) . . .Greet He‧ro′di‧on my relative. Greet those from the household of Narcissus who are in [the] Lord.

The name Narcissus means stupidity. I can't find it in the Septuagint. But another Greek word for stupidity is aphrosyne and is defined as THOUGHTLESSNESS. In English you could describe that as a lack of reflection.

A folly, thoughtlessness, freq. in pl.,

Have written this out to flag the potential for semantic shift in relation to the word 'reflection'. Other words could be affected, therefore just be aware. Obviously, Greek myths are far removed from Jesus Christ who is both the Truth and the Word of God.

Please not use of word kauchēsis
καύχησις kaúchēsis, kow'-khay-sis; from G2744; boasting (properly, the act; by implication, the object), in a good or a bad sense:—boasting, whereof I may glory, glorying, rejoicing.

2 Cor 11:10 As the truth of Christ is in me, no man shall stop me of this boasting in the regions of Achaia.

I have a friend who expresses a similar view to yourself. The person has an extraordinary ability with words. He is so careful to pick a word which conveys exactly what he is wanting to say. Like you he has taken time to read up about personality disorders. Narcissist isn't a term I use but he does. He says the traits of the Narcissist are those indicating homosexuality. Now I can't discern what he discerns cause some things fly right over my head. But from an entirely different angle and on different criteria I had worked out exactly the same thing. Hadn't thought that much of it until he made the point.

Anyway he had also deduced that pride marches are held due to Narcissism. I hadn't worked that out but I can see his point and I could never imagine Jesus instructing Christians to take part in a pride march!

Some people have that ability with the scriptures too.............. (2Cor 12:2). Many are here among us.

Now I can't discern what he discerns cause some things fly right over my head. But from an entirely different angle and on different criteria I had worked out exactly the same thing.

When people like that are your friends all you can do is thank the the Lord. (2Cor 12:4) Stranger told you that.

Lynchpin - that link you posted - I just glanced and picked out a couple of points and I am amazed. It talks about making prey of other people. I think that is what Watchtower is doing but they use Christian baptism. It is like they are fishing for prey. Kingfishers, fishers who are the best, like bears. Fisher kings.
Jesus sent his followers out as fishers of men to save them not to prey on them. Jesus taught his followers to pray, not to prey.

Also Nimrod is the original Tarzan. The novel Tarzan is about ATAVISM.

I have just seen this video and it mentions APRIL FISH - meaning APRIL FOOL.
