Re: Fake Science
I echo Amos' words Apollos.
Please anyone who thinks they might be facing a similar situation - do good research. Doctors like this are speaking up for a reason. You may not agree but they are seriously concerned.

Myself family and friends have been doing research as best we know how and so far, we are all fine. Hope it continues like that and urge everyone to consider their options carefully and stay safe.

I'm very sorry to hear about your friend Apollos. I lost a good brother in law when Covid first started early to mid 2020. As was then, as is now, "we wrestle not against the flesh, but against..."(Eph 6:12). I'm not so sure some people are being ignorant so much as to being cautious. (Matt 10:16 NIV)

Thank you to those who gave kind words.
The urge be be embittered over this subject is something I have to resist. Some here will be aware of a forum that began a few years before this one. The owner started out with good intentions I believe, but ended up allowing it to fall into a hot mess of vitriol. Whatever my personal feelings are, I vow to never let that happen here.
Thankfully our members have in general been good and respectful. We don't have many mod's so we really depend on that and I want to express my appreciation.
If it ever goes the other route the site will simply close. But I do have faith in you all. Thank you again.

Re: Fake Science
Let me tell you something that happened to me - it was a few years back now, after I had resigned due to the fake data incident in the Health Service.
A relative was suffering at the hands of the hospital and was, (according to another relative) misdiagnosed. But the diagnosis (whether real or made up) meant that the poor woman could be discharged, against her will and never, ever return home. Her house could be sold and the few belongings she had scattered.
However, because of an astuteness on my part, having seen the harshness of the system play out on others, at the 11th hour, I was able to secure certain rights for this potentially misdiagnosed relative. One way or another, since that time, I have been commended me for saving her life. She has died now but she died of old age amongst her friends, having received the excellent medical care. She did not die covered in old food, vomit and flies, sitting in dirty beading where the Health and Social Services thought it was fine for her to be sent. No, I got her out of that place. Sadly I could not get everyone out because I was not in a position to secure their rights. But I saw the staff outside in tears, I saw how they were spoken to, I saw how they were blamed for things they were NOT guilty of. I was the one with the emergency car like an ambulance, I was the one with the backing of the authorities when even the authorities themselves became scared. But I acted AND the authorities acted with me. Thereafter certain places were shut down, never to reopen.
In the new home, the nursing staff had heard the stories. The authorities asked for more details. There was great sympathy and outrage. Then a lead nurse asked me for help. "Please," she said, "you acted effectively and won. But there is another suffering here. We have all tried to help to no avail. She is in a far worse state than your relative."
It was as if care was evaporating from the scene. Nurses, doctors, carers from the old school were seeing values change. They wanted to do a good job but new policies and changes in funding were making their working lives difficult. I wasn't sure how I could help but I spoke to the woman's daughter. She was a Christian and she and her husband would come in to sing songs to all the residents and try to cheer them up. I agreed to look at her mother's case.
Within a short time I could see that what she was being prescribed was concerning and carried with it the risk of serious side effects. The nurses themselves felt it was wrong to administer the drug and tended to hold back from what was supposed to be given. This was a drug of last resort. It acted like a chemical cosh. This lady had been a regular church goer, she had a fine reputation. Why was she being given this? The daughter had witnessed a bizarre change in her mother once she had come into the nursing home. Had her mother been raped? Why had a mild woman suddenly lost her mind? Was she suffering pain she could not articulate? What was it? What was wrong? Guess what - no one really knew. But even if you don't know, it was not necessary to give her this drug. But how many knew that much about this drug?
So I stood alongside the daughter as we spoke to the authorities with a view to getting the right treatment and funding for that treatment. And the representative of the local health authority said, "this woman is not ill." Why did they say that? Because they did not want to fund proper treatment. So I stood beside the daughter as she appealed the decision. At the appeal a committee of about 20 men and women from other health, psychiatric and social care organisations, plus the overseeing governmental authorities and an independent solicitor looked at the representatives of our local health authority and effectively said, "how dare you treat anyone like this. What have you got to say for yourselves?"
And what did they have to say for themselves? "We are very sorry. We have learnt lessons from this."
At that point myself and the daughter were sent home to await the decision about her mother.
Over two months later (at least) the daughter EVENTUALLY received a letter from our local health authority informing her that her appeal had been rejected. She had lost. With the letter was a huge document showing the findings of the committee. She read it carefully. Within that document it effectively said, "you appeal is successful, you have won."
So she phoned the health authority and said, "you have sent me a letter saying my appeal failed but it did not fail, you are lying. My appeal succeeded." "Oh, we'll phone you back," they said.
Later they did indeed phone back. "Ok, you won. How much money do you want?"
And that my friends is an example of how trustworthy the health authorities are here in the UK.
I can actually give you another example - from first-hand experience, from another part of the country. But its always the same old same old. When the money is involved they will play any old trick. Just like Watchtower.
And as for me - so what am I? Some kind of conspiracy theorist? That's not what's said of me. I get called life-saver. And as one put it, "when I am in this helpless position, please will you fight for me?" The reason that person said that was because I was SO effective, I knew exactly what I was doing and I WON. But I tell you I cannot win again because I don't think the people are there who will say, "yes this is wrong, this should not happen." Or if they are there, they are too afraid to speak.
All the same, God is not one to be mocked. He Himself allows situations to unfold just as He allowed Joseph to be sold into slavery and left Pharaoh in his position. It was so that through the Exodus, Jehovah might teach His own people lessons, so that people would know He is the True God.
(Exodus 4:21-23) . . .As for me, I shall let his heart become obstinate; and he will not send the people away. And you must say to Pharaoh, ‘This is what Jehovah has said: “Israel is my son, my firstborn. And I say to you: Send my son away that he may serve me. But should you refuse to send him away, here I am killing your son, your firstborn.”’”
(Exodus 10:1-2) . . .Then Jehovah said to Moses: “Go in to Pharaoh, because I—I have let his heart and the hearts of his servants become unresponsive, in order that I may set these signs of mine right before him, and in order that you may declare in the ears of your son and your son’s son how severely I have dealt with Egypt and my signs that I have established among them; and you will certainly know that I am Jehovah.. . .
As people get silenced from expressing concerns about the state of science today and experimental medicine which appears to be being forced on them, I look to God to sort this out. I am confident that Our Father, Jehovah, the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, He who sent His Firstborn Only Begotten Son Christ Jesus, He will render justice and sort out those who have told lies from those who have told the truth.

You did a fine job helping when you could.

Re: Fake Science
Hi Marina,
I second what Maria said.
I've heard of similar problems in our aged care facilities here in AU.
I had a friend who was an RN, working in one of these facilities. She told me about several cases where she worked. None of them got resolved. She believes it was mainly money related. Most of the staff were untrained and some couldn't read and understand English very well. She blew the whistle several times, but it was ignored, and she was vilified for trying to help the residents.
Regards, Amos.

Re: Fake Science
Hi Maria and Amos
Thanks for your confirmations of similar happening in other countries.
I have spoken from direct personal experience to show why a diagnosis can be false and if not fully false can made, not for health reasons but for the sake of expediency or for financial gain.
The diagnosis of a person's health issues can involve levels of complexity so that only a best GUESS can be made, even by the most excellent of clinicians. Key point I am making is A DIAGNOSIS MAY ONLY BE A GUESS. So the doctor will write down 'it is x' then caveat it and say, 'I'll prescribe you this or refer you there, and we'll see how it goes.'
If the doctor is getting paid to write down Tom, Dick and Harry's snuffles as COVID, there is a high risk the doctor might diagnose 3 cases of COVID which feed the stats. This sort of thing is useful in relation to mortgage and staff payments, and in particular cases could provide funds for a yacht.
Serious, life threatening illnesses come upon people - one who used to sit in on my study was hit by the most dreadful illness when she was in London (20 years ago approx). I was told it was thought to be a virus that came out of the blue. Whatever it was, it nearly killed her. She was in intensive care for weeks and frankly, we thought she would die. But amazingly she pulled through. She was much weakened and I felt it left its mark. I saw her last in 2019 - assuming she is still alive, I suspect that if now she caught any sort of cold it would be touch and go. If doctors are being paid to write deaths down as COVID, people in her situation might get diagnosed as such. Would anyone actually believe it was? It depends what their belief system is.
Doctors are not bad people but they are business people. They are a mixed bunch which is why you have to look at the reputation of a professional to assess whether or not to use their services.
Some dentists used to offer to take out all your fillings for no reason and replace them - that was because it made them money - but it could put all your teeth at risk of cracking. (Imagine if that was mandated!) Other dentists would warn against this. So comparing the opinion of various professionals and seeing which ones are successful is wise. You don't just take the word of Doctor X or Dentist Y or Consultant Z. They are people running businesses.
And Maria and Amos I can tell you I have heard that in Scandinavia elderly ones with no relatives can nominate a person (other than a relative) to oversee their affairs. Some old people don't realise that there is a risk that once their affairs are in that person's hands they will quickly be sent to a care home, where the care home itself has a quiet policy of withholding water. That means the person dies within days. The persons assets go to the one they nominated to oversee their affairs. Perhaps Kosonen has heard of this practice. Like I said I have only heard of it, I have never witnessed such a thing. But if a person dies from water being withheld, do you think that gets written on the death certificate? Died of thirst.
I can tell you that a nurse told me that it would be easy for him to kill residents - all you do is wait for them to ring their bell then fail to respond for some time. How easy it is when staff are in short supply to... oops fail to respond. Then who do you blame? The budget. Then it becomes a case of "you've got too many staff, let's make efficiencies, let's make changes, changes cost more money, changes create chaos, but in the end, sometime just around the corner, it saves money and saves lives. And if people have to die in the meantime, it is a small price to pay to..." You get the idea don't you.
One of the final talks at the Kingdom Hall I saw was about how the "Truth" was like the Orient Express. The speaker was talking about the journey on the train but if you know Agatha Christie's story, The Orient Express, you know that everyone on the Orient Express was in on the crime.
(Revelation 18:4-8) . . .And I heard another voice out of heaven say: “Get out of her, my people, if you do not want to share with her in her sins, and if you do not want to receive part of her plagues. For her sins have massed together clear up to heaven, and God has called her acts of injustice to mind. Render to her even as she herself rendered, and do to her twice as much, yes, twice the number of the things she did; in the cup in which she put a mixture put twice as much of the mixture for her. To the extent that she glorified herself and lived in shameless luxury, to that extent give her torment and mourning. For in her heart she keeps saying, ‘I sit a queen, and I am no widow, and I shall never see mourning.’ That is why in one day her plagues will come, death and mourning and famine, and she will be completely burned with fire, because the Lord God, who judged her, is strong. . .
