Back to the grind for Jehovah's Witnesses

OCTOBER 15, 2021
GLOBAL NEWS
The Governing Body Announces That Some In-Person Meetings Will Resume in Select Areas
The Governing Body of Jehovah’s Witnesses announced that they have invited selected branches to participate in a pilot program to resume some in-person congregation meetings. The branches participating will select Kingdom Halls in areas where vaccination rates are high and infection rates are low. Of course, all aspects of this project will be carried out in harmony with local government regulations for indoor gatherings. The announcement was read to Bethel families around the world on Friday, October 15, 2021.
The results of this pilot program will determine if additional congregations can be approved to resume in-person meetings. The announcement also stated that, in general, in-person organizational activities will remain suspended until at least January 1, 2022.
We greatly appreciate the Governing Body’s care for the worldwide brotherhood and their measured approach to resuming organizational activities. Please pray for Jehovah’s continued guidance and blessing on these arrangements.—Proverbs 14:16.

Oh this is so funny

How many have enjoyed playing computer games, eating snacks, entertaining their friends and having their Zoom camera off, while all the time keeping up the appearance of meeting attendance. And now, just when they thought it was safe, they got to put their trouser bottoms back on and sit for a full 1.5 hours (at least) at the KH. Possibly wearing a facemask to show love.

So let's say cong is 90% vaxxed. How many are suddenly going to get Covid and not be able to attend? Or they could get pinged. But they could still Zoom in to the KH meeting.

They will have to get more creative with their excuses when they want to disappear.

Hi Daniel - be nice to think so. But that man looks way too normal.

For a real jdub at a Zoom meeting he needs less cloths on and mobile device on lap with camera off. Ideally he should be having a fight with another ministerial servant, while a couple of sisters watch and experiment with how many Pringles they can get in their mouth at any one time.

The Chairman will be going blah, blah, blah with a half psychotic look on his face, while an elder's wife uses the Zoom meeting as a mirror to put on her mascara.

You can see how it will change at the KH. One constant might be the look on the chairman's face. The expression may be affected by level of certain chemicals in the blood stream - I don't know.

More use will be made of the back room. If they haven't sold off the back room.
