New Forum - "Controversial"

Hi all

As you know, one of the objectives of this site is to keep things uplifting and spiritual. However when we are discussing certain subjects that can be difficult to do. A post was recently made about the issue of "Child Abuse". We understand the need some people have to discuss their personal experiences and the policies that are connected with this difficult and distressful issue.

With subjects like that featuring under our main "Bible Doctrine" category we felt that it might detract from our primary aim. There are many sites out there that deal heavily with this and other controversial topics pertaining to JW's. Most of them are places that our general readership would not want to visit, and we do not wish to give the impression that we are in the same category. On the other hand we did not feel that it was right to simply ban discussion of the topic.

With that in mind we have created a new forum section within "Discussions" labelled as "Controversial". This particular topic has been moved there.

The forum is not visible unless you are logged in, and of course nobody is obliged to visit there if they prefer not. All topics posted in this area will be moderated before they are visible. And if there are topics posted in other areas that we feel ought to be there then we will move them.
