Hi Stranger,
If you are referring to WT's "special talk, every year the week before the Memorial all Kingdom Halls/Congregations of JWs have a public talk that is called the "special talk."
The title of this years special talk was, "Have You Found a Pearl of Great Value." The talk title was based on Mt 13:45, 46.

I was aware of their invitational announcement campaign that they put in swing every year around this time. What I was meaning is, what unusual quality gives the speaker a sense of superior position in some way by delivering (a) special talk?Bobcat wrote: ↑2 years ago If you are referring to WT's "special talk, every year the week before the Memorial all Kingdom Halls/Congregations of JWs have a public talk that is called the "special talk."

It is kind of a puzzling title to a talk, I didn't hear it but I hope that special talker was instructing everyone to rightfully return it to it's owner and collect the reward if there's one being offered and even if there's not it's the right thing to do. I can't remember buying anything I ever found. Something has to be lost before it can be found.
It sounds like a pitch and they are claiming to be that pearl. Maybe they are and maybe not, but they will have to talk real special to me before I would put everything material and non into their treasure chest.
