I like the way you put that Amos, sounds like maturity in action, finely defined and agreed with.
Getting in tune is one thing, staying in tune means "if you see a weed, pull a weed", and bring the roots up with it. Stay on the narrow path, whether it be a bridge too far, or your last short mile home just up the road and always carry a big stick. (Ex 7:8-10)
