Reputable Charitable Organisations & Causes

So, as we know, Christians are encouraged to give where they are able, not only to our brothers and sisters, but to strangers alike.

These days of course, people don't know where or who to give to, for not all organisations are honest, and not all money goes where it needs to.

So I thought I'd start this thread to encourage discussion on finding, or suggesting reputable non-profit charities, or forms of giving which we may be inclined to assist whenever/if we have the means. As well as bring attention to causes brothers and sisters here may desire to in order to request/encourage assistance in a united manner to the best of our personal ability.

Perhaps giving to the poor in our own local town or village.

The homeless on our streets needing a sandwich or bottle of water or blanket.

The local church feeding the poor could use help and contributions.

The local associations formed to help children and families in our local area are always in need as well.

I agree, we can easily overlook people in our immediate area as well. :)

Given the crisis in Ukraine, I wished to obviously bring attention to some peaceful/non-war profit causes to help civilian victims of the war there. If anyone has any suitable and trustworthy recommendations, don't hesitate to share.

One list I found was here https://www.hitc.com/en-gb/2022/03/02/b ... p-ukraine/

At the same time, I want to also link this article, which is warning of scams going on right now taking advantage of people's charity. Stay alert for these: https://www.washingtontimes.com/news/20 ... ity-scams/
