Revelation - the Woman in the Wilderness

The ones reading, and actually seeing the things recorded in Revelation (Rev 1:3) are ecstatically happy. They cry out joyfully, for the appointed time for the woman to give birth, is near. Pursued by Satan, she flees into the wilderness where a place has been prepared for her. There she is fed for a time, times and half a time away from the face of the serpent, (Rev 12:14).

This woman is the one concerning whom Isa 54:1 says: "Cry out joyfully, you barren woman that did not give birth! ...For the sons of the desolate one are more numerous than the woman with a husbandly owner"

Who is the other woman with a husbandly owner?

Zechariah raises his eyes and sees a flying scroll and the angel asks him: "What are you seeing?" ...Then he said to me: "This is the curse that is going forth over all the earth... I have caused it to go forth is the utterance of Jehovah of armies, and it must enter into the house of the thief and into the house of the one making a sworn oath in my name falsely...
"Raise your eyes, please, see what is going forth." ...This is the ephah measure that is going forth.". And then said: ...this is their aspect in all the earth." And, Look! the circular lid of lead was lifted up; and ...a certain woman was sitting in the midst of the ephah ... "This is wickedness." And he proceeded to throw her back into the midst of the ephah, after which, he threw the lead weight upon its mouth again. Then Zechariah sees two women coming forth ... and the wind, [ruach/spirit], was in their wings ... And they proceed to raise the ephah up between the earth and the heavens. And Zechariah asked where they were taking the ephah, and the angel said "In order to build for her a house in the land of Shinnar, [Babylon Gen 10:10], and it must be firmly established and she must be deposited upon her proper place."

These two women have existed from ancient times. In the conclusion of the system of things, one pictures the woman who gives birth to the male child in the wilderness and the second one is Babylon the great.

The male child the woman gives birth to are the two witnesses who preach for 1260 days, or 3½ years. After which they are killed with their bodies on display for a further 3½ years, (Rev 11: 7,8,9). Compare this with at the half of the week, after 3½ days/years, the messianic leader causes sacrifice and gift offering to cease, (Dan 9:27 b). This took place in 2020 when the 8th beast, the one the harlot rides, instituted Covid 19 lockdowns with social distancing and the banning of all public gatherings.

Concerning the barren woman, Isaiah says: ...For Jehovah called you [as if you were] a wife left entirely and hurt in spirit, as a wife of the time of youth your God has said. "For a little moment, I left you entirely, but with great mercies, I will gather you in. When did/does Jehovah leave this woman entirely?

The crowd sentenced Jesus to death at the sixth hour, (Jhn 19:14), between 11 and 12 noon. From that hour until the ninth hour, about 3½ hours darkness fell over all the land, and Jesus called out with a loud voice ... "Eli Eli lama sabachthani?" that is "My God, my God, why have you forsaken me?'. Jehovah's spirit, which had energized him and enabled him to perform great works, had completely left him and he felt abandoned even as King David before him had felt when he wrote Ps 22:1-31. This song came from his heart and was based on personal experience. Yes, David’s song was prophetic, but he knew nothing of Jesus, all he knew was that the kingship belongs to Jehovah and that at a future time a seed itself would serve him, (Ps 22: 28-30).

Jesus was that seed, and he was left entirely for 3½ hours. The seed/male child of the woman in the wilderness, (Rev 12:13,14), are the two witnesses. They also preach for 3½ years, then they are killed with their bodies on display for 3½ days/years, (Rev 11:9). These are pictured as the prospective holy ones that will rule with Jesus, and like him, their power has been dashed to pieces, (Dan 12:7). Before being raised Jesus had said to his disciples ..."Look! I am with you until the conclusion of the system of things." We are now in the midst of the conclusion of the system of things.

Will some of the prospective holy ones falter and fall by the wayside?. It appears that that is a very real possibility, as Dan 12:12 says: Happy is he that keeps in expectation and that arrives at one thousand three hundred and thirty-five days. And Rev 12:17 says: And the dragon grew wrathful at the woman and went off to wage war with the remaining ones of her seed who observe the commandments of God and have the work of bearing witness to Jesus. The remaining ones, a reference to those that remain loyal and in expectation.

The holy ones are in the midst of the 3½ year period of their figurative death and, like Jesus, their power has been dashed to pieces. They are left entirely for a moment like the rejected woman of Isa 54:7. So this is a good reminder that it is not a done deal that all the prospective holy ones will keep in expectation. But as it says at Lu 21: 28 ...But as these things start to occur, lift your heads up because your deliverance is getting near.
