Re: The dark side of the JW organisation
A lot of this in the media of late.
Sadly I've seen this has strengthened the convictions of some JWs, because they see it as "fulfillment of prophecy" of David Splaine's words in regards to the media attacks and that they should ignore them and not believe a word rather than investigate the truth of the matter.
Really, David wasn't making a "timely" provision for the Organisation through holy spirit, it's obvious the GB knows ahead of time when these things are going to happen because they being at the top will get the first look at such things, whilst they keep the rank and file blind and using fear to prevent them looking on the internet and news, they in turn "do" look, it's pretty obvious, and so all their talks are "responses" to accusations (which don't actually answer the claims, they just tell people to keep closing their eyes), but because the masses have their eyes glued shut by the GB, they fall under the delusion (shall we call it "performing great signs?") that the GB is guided by Holy Spirit to "make content at the right time" in some kind of semi-prophetic way. Really, they're just informed, no mystery to it.

Re: The dark side of the JW organisation
As a side note, it's good that the practices of the Org are made more known, but watching this at the moment, it's sad that these people also again, like Ceders, attack the Bible as well. I've noticed it's more subtle here though, they'll randomly quote one verse which out of context or cultural understanding, which makes the Bible sound evil. Like the whole "God's enemies will be manure" scripture or "discpline your child with the rod" scripture to make viewers think the Bible promotes child abuse, it's just so out of place of the subject of the documentary, and obviously is targeting all of Christianity, not just JWs at this point.

I very much second that viewpoint.Proselytiser of Jah wrote: ↑2 years ago As a side note, it's good that the practices of the Org are made more known, but watching this at the moment, it's sad that these people also again, like Ceders, attack the Bible as well.
