Could this be an algae bloom? With coincidental timing? Here. That's my first impression.

Of course, the times we live in lend themselves to looking for signs.

Yes Bobcat algae bloom seems reasonable but that would be easy to identify.
In the video the commentator says they don't know what is causing this. Therefore, it is unusual.
Have to see if any of those with knowledge of water and algae can confirm if this is algae.

It sounds to me that the commentator wants the cause to be mysterious. It suits his MO. But my money is on the algae. It doesn't have quite the right color for iron oxide.

He does mention that this signals a call to repentance. But that has been going on since the 1st century CE. (Acts 17:30-31) And continues unabated. (See this thread.) Unfortunately, I don't think most in Israel are interested in turning to the one and only person that can provide them with salvation. (Ac 4:12) Who knows? Maybe I'll turn out to be mistaken about that. But my money is with the algae. :D

Yes Bobcat, I agree but will be interested to see if it does remain a mystery.

Ah - maybe algae is the answer but I've still not seen confirmation that it is.
