The face mask is pretty useless. They were used in surgery not to prevent the surgeon getting an infection but to prevent anything from the surgeons mouth or nose going into the open wound of the patient.
However, they have to be worn in some places. So if you want any kind of protection, put your face mask on and DO NOT TOUCH IT. If you touch anything with corona virus on it and then touch your face mask you could breath it in. Once you have touched your face mask it is potentially contaminated and you should change it.
Skin is a natural barrier. You will not catch corona virus by touching your hand on something with the virus on it then touching your face. You have to touch your eyes, mouth or nose to get the virus inside you. Even your ears are pretty safe from carrying the infection into you.
In addition to this the midwife told me about hand washing. She explained that you hear much about washing your hands but no one is talking about the need to DRY THEM. Warm wet hands are ideal for the virus. Therefore, make sure you dry you hands.
I have also been told that if you want to reuse your paper mask, you can put it in a paper bag and reuse it after 3 days.
You should not wear a wet mask.
