For those who have ever been interested in The Matrix movie series, here is the supposed string of events that happened before the time frame dramatized in the movies.

Probably the thing that caught my attention with the movies, especially the first one, was a certain similarity with waking up from the WT. The M. Night Shyamalan movie The Villiage (here) struck me the same way.

Hi Bobcat,

I was just wondering what kind of "jets" they were talking about?

I think he was talking about old style gas heaters that had a series of burners fed by jets of gas.

Hi Jeremy and Bobcat,

Thank you both for your answers, I just wasn't sure about the "terminology of the day". That was a very interesting article Jeremy, thanks for linking it.

Hi Stranger. I also found the article fascinating, and thank you for the Friday night thought.

I thought my best friend was going to die last night but she pulled through the night. I am still married to the most loving, amazing, inspirational and brave woman I will ever know.

Hi Jeremiah,

Did you mean your wife was about to die? I hope she is doing OK.

Hey Brother, if there's something going on that needs some powerful prayer, just let us know. I hope there hasn't been an accident or anything of that nature. It's nice to hear that you still love your wife and that she still means the World to you. (this one, and the one to come.) In my opinion, right here from this very site, comes some of the most powerful prayer reaching the Ears of Jesus and then Him relaying to the Father what is being said when we bow ours heads. An interesting graphic of an Awake magazine statement made 52 years ago:

Image

At the time this was printed it seemed, from the WT's point of view, that this was a viable statement. The idea that 1975 might bring the end of this "system of things" had just been published in the Life Everlasting and Freedom of the Sons of God book. (1966; See pages 26 thru 30 of the book starting here under the sub-title Six Thousand Years of Human Existence Closing. It may take a few seconds for the book to load.)

For comparison, here is an outline of Bible chronology using only the MT as a source. And here is an outline of Bible chronology using the MT and corrected with the LXX & SP. In the MT only link, the main difference with the WT's chronology is their insistence on 607 BCE as the date for the fall of Jerusalem to Babylon. Other details about problems with WT dating can be seen in this post.

And here is a web page discussing why it is a mistake to elevate the writings of uninspired humans to the level of God's Word. Others, besides the WT, have been equally guilty of it.
