I just remembered someone said WT's images of Jesus usually look like Kenny Rogers. What do you think?

I saw Kenny in concert a few years before he past and back in June of this year I was in Tennessee and I drove to Dolly's house and took some pictures in her drive way. I enjoy both of their music. Anyway, pertaining to music I posted on a thread today in regards to the name Yahweh and it brought this song to mind from a band that I have liked since around 1987. Maybe some of y'all here heard of them before... :)

First and foremost: Thank you Lord, thank you Jesus for being so instrumental in our nature.

Watch as the band leader rebukes another member for "disharmonization" at the 1:55 mark, and then at the 3:44 mark, they both hug and rub noses, then start harmonizing again. I don't know if this was choreographed or if it happened naturally but Mick did show why a body of members need a leader.

Hi JohnAmos,

1987, what a different World not that long ago, so it seems. How many here thought they would never see Y2K back then?

Bono is 61 now, I've been watching U2 their whole career. I can't say I like all their songs but this one has always been a spirit lifter and a pedal pusher (as in gas pedal). The video itself has some BtG images at the beginning, not unlike what we have all seen in WT publications.

I'll play this one for the Y2k comment even though it seems like something from the distant past. In Prince's defense he did say he was dreaming when he wrote this and to forgive him if it goes astray.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rblt2EtFfC4

Thanks for sharing those reflections,... I can relate.

I really like the Stones and Prince as well.

I was at this concert of the Stones:

I was sadden to hear about Charlie. He actually is partially responsible for a new found joy in my life. I have always wanted a drum set but never got one as a kid and then as a adult I have always either lived in a townhome or apartment and wanted to be respectful of my neighbors so I never got one. Then when the lock downs started last year and all the videos coming out with bands playing together but from different locations, I saw Charlie playing with just a set of electronic sticks and I thought, well there is my solution. But then I got covid and was sick for 20 days (10 in the hospital) so that kind of threw a wench in that for me.

But then my dad pasted away in Jan and I was thinking how much I would have loved to have had a drum set and be able to jam with him. (He was a musician and played the bass and key boards.) So in my grief I decided to not put off getting one but I didn't get the sticks Charlie had, I just got a little eclectic one and use it with head phones so not to bother my neighbors. I have been playing now 8 months and getting pretty good. :D Should have done it long ago.

I've got a story to tell about U2 and Bono but I have to save it for another time, wife needs me to go help with putting the sheets on the bed...

I was at these 5 concerts of U2... which ties into my story to tell:

With what I'm putting together about you, I'd say you and I probably partied together at Mark Twains out there on Hillsborough Ave. back in the eighty's.

Looking forward to your story!

I'm sure you know these guys, unless you're from "the wrong side of the tracks"

No, you would not have been partying with me in the 80's, you must be at least a decade older than me. I didn't start going to clubs until the 90's and then it was mostly Ybor.

Before my story, here are some more teasers. :)

I am in the crowd at 17:53 in this link:

Scroll down on this link and see comment by Chris Williams. I was part of the group that went inside to see this being filmed that Chris is talking about:

That was a few days before the opening night show.

Here's a good one for ya, please don't take it the wrong way.

WOW... :!: music is amazing. This is a song that I haven't heard in years and years and it never comes to my mind...and now that you posted it and I hear it, it is like I just heard it yesterday. Loved that song back in the day.

How about this one:
