Matthew 28:19[,20]

For some reason, I was thinking about Matthew 28:19. Did some searching and came across this: http://www.oocities.org/fdocc3/in-my-name.htm In short: according to Eusebius, who had access to a very early copy or may be even the original writing of Matthew. He states that verse 19 reads: Go ye, and m...

Re: CLAM: Research, Notes, & Comments

Strange said "Jesus is up and out, He is the Word of God. If you don't trust Him then you should be an atheist." I find it strange that people who present themselves as Christians are often the same people who cannot handle criticism or start labelling people. Atheist: a person who disbelieves or la...

Re: CLAM: Research, Notes, & Comments

You wonder why one act that is considered as being incorrect or offensive by God is a strong enough reason not to allow Moses to enter the promised land. All his good acts are not sufficient to offset this one so-called offense. If the story is real, this would sound very unrighteous and unfair. in ...

Re: seems covid has been good for the organisation

My observations: - huge JW logo in picture - he said "good to be back again". Apparently it is not the first interview - one question leads to an answer of 5 or more minutes - clear that the organisation leads all congregations and their directives are to be followed - increase mentioned whereas the...

Re: Help!!! The Jehovah's Witnesses BLOOD POLICY perplexes me.

Hi Sevenz and welcome from me too :-) Regardless your view on blood for medical treatment, and whether a Christian is allowed to use it, it is good to consider the following verses: 1 Cor. 6:9 Do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived! The sexually ...

Cities of Refuge

I guess most of the readers on this forum have heard and read about the so-called cities of refuge. Lately I searched on Google for reference to such cities and the concept outside the bible. I did not find it. I find that strange as multiple cities were involved, it was a legal concept and would th...

Re: Interesting Stuff

Though I disagree with WT doctrine on blood, I also have to disagree with the arguments that abstain from blood is grammatically wrong. According to Oxford Dictionary: abstain (from something) to decide not to do or have something, especially something you like or enjoy, because it is bad for your ...

Re: Does Covid 19 even exist?

As with other viruses, I believe this COVID-19 also exist, though be aware this is not one virus. It is a family of coherent viruses as they change themselves. Same as the Flu or SARS. I guess the overall question is: do the measure that most government apply justify the risks related to this virus....

Re: Intentional omissions or intentional insertions?

You can also have a look here for other translations: https://studybible.info/compare/Luke%209:55-56 The fact this is not found in some MSS but in many it is found, does not mean it is secondary or not correct. Like the WT translates according to their agenda, so did many other translators. The word...
