Re: Article: Genesis & Earth Science

Of course, it's not the only line of evidence for scripture, as we have prophecy and historical reliability also. We also have faith. No one will come to God unless God calls him. No matter how we try to "prove" the Bible it is only by God's spirit that people will believe. True I suppose...

Re: Article: Genesis & Earth Science

Do you believe the Bible must be proven to be in line with the current scientific thought in order for unbelievers to have faith? Only if the science is truly accurate. Then I think it helps. If the scriptures claim something about the world, and is divinely inspired, then it should be somehow prov...

Article: Genesis & Earth Science

My article I've been working on a while. Took me way longer than it should have (mainly due to distraction and procrastination, but it's out there now). https://proselytiserofyah.wordpress.com/2022/01/26/genesis-earth-science/ This article presents an interpretation of Genesis that can be said to be...

Re: John 1:3

There could be excellent reasons why the Hebrew name of God became superseded by the "name above all names" (https://biblehub.com/philippians/2-9.htm) I'd also like to point out when it comes to this scripture, we are told elsewhere the context, that "Jesus is exalted over everyone, ...

Re: John 1:3

I'm not sure OT quotes serve as proof. There is certainly some ground on which to build an argument for those, but without any textual evidence it's still an inference only. There could be excellent reasons why the Hebrew name of God became superseded by the "name above all names" (https:...

For the record: I'm neither a trinitarian nor KJV onlyist.
I'm actually surprised to hear this, I thought you were on both accounts.

What is your perspective on the relation between the Father, Son and Holy Spirit, Stranger?

Re: John 1:3

High Proz, That's okay Proz, you seem to appreciate the material the comes straight off the press from the printing house of the Vatican and that's fine if that's your preference. I'm not sure what you're talking about... but if you're trying to defend being a KJV-onlyist, then respectfully I'm afr...

Re: John 1:3

Now, I find it ridiculous when people say no He didn't create everything. And if I listened to them long enough I wouldn't know of anything He created because the very same ones that are telling me He didn't create all things never admit to anything that he actually created. What is it that He crea...

Re: John 1:3

... the NWT is closer to most of the other translations you'll find ... Hi PoJ As a generality I disagree. There is one thing we know for sure - the NWT committee undertook this project with a very firm preceding bias. Apollos Oh for sure, when I said what I said, I wasn't talking about the entire ...
