Re: The Story of my Awakening to the truth about the Organisation of Jehovah's Witnesses

Unfortuantely no, I shared most with my wife and she said to wait on Jehovah. If it were just me Id be gone already. I plan on partaking this memorial and hope that makes her think more about it. Will present it like, the downside of partaking when one shouldnt is to be disciplined by Jehovah, and h...

Re: When Is Satan Cast Down To Earth?

The first time I read Revelation start to finish I also thought Rev 12 could have been in the 1st century. Read a very interesting commentary (and I think someone else mentioned it here somewhere), that as Revelation is bathed in Jewish imagery, those reading it would have recognized the woman as Is...

Re: Judging the twelve tribes

Thank you both. I need to ponder over this a little more. Rev 20:4 - those that did not receive the mark ruled as kings with Christ. Those that did receive the mark are not in the book of life. Or are you saying the role of judging is different than the role of being king and priest? I can agree wit...

Re: What do the feet & 10 toes of Daniel 2 TRULY represent?

I agree with JohnAmos comments as well. Slightly related - I believe Britain is not the "little horn" of Daniel 7:7,8 (I know -- there are many here that would argue for a 1st century fulfillment). If anything it may represent America -- America has "eyes like a man" (democracy), but the key here is...

Re: Judging the twelve tribes

I would go on to argue, as many have done before in better words, that there are no non-elect Christians today. That's the whole point of Romans 8:28-39, and if I understand correctly, would basically be what we have today as two class Christianity (great crowd that are not spirit begotten). Matt 25...

Re: Judging the twelve tribes

Thanks for the references. Although the same greek word is used for regeneration it does seem to be two separate time periods/events, especially with the alternate rendering "new world".

Re: Judging the twelve tribes

Small followup -- Matt 19:28 speaks of the time of this being the regeneration. I think there is a tendency to apply all prophecy to the future, but this word παλινγενεσίᾳ also used in Titus 3:5 indicates it is with the outpouring of the holy spirit. The apostles clearly had authority in the 1st cen...

Judging the twelve tribes

Going to throw this out there, appreciate feedback. Reviewed the memorial talk outline in preparation for any counter arguments to partaking, and the text at Matt 19:28 is an interesting one. There is an interesting article here (https://www.researchgate.net/publication/271114712_Condemning_or_liber...
