Re: Apologies for Outage

I realize that there were some additional random corruption problems after the outage. I apologize for the inconvenience. The good news (if I can term it that), is that the corruption resulted from a very mundane technical issue. There was nothing malicious about it and our security is a strong as a...

Apologies for Outage

Sorry to members who experienced a recent outage. The issue was actually very simple, but took a few hours to resolve.

Hopefully everything will be stable now, and special thanks to Marina and others who raised the alarm.

Re: "A Donkey & A Colt" vs "A Donkey, A colt"

Textual criticism must be very interesting, but also something a person has to be well qualified for - whether the subject matter and source manuscripts be scripture or not. The observation you made PoJ sounds reasonable to me. Then so does the research presented by Bobcat. In my view it only takes ...

Re: Anointed Ones and True Teachings

I'm still a bit confused by the question tbh. Can genuine Christians believe wrong things? Clearly yes. We still see things through a hazy mirror, until that time when we will know fully per 1 Cor 13:12 (even though some would argue otherwise) Perhaps a better question is what do the actions of thos...

Can you imagine Jehovah God showing himself like that to apostle John?
Hi Kosonen

This is just off the top of my head, but do you think that the intention here might be to express the precious nature of who God is to us, rather than a particular colour?

Re: Song of Songs/Solomon: Inspired or no?

It might be better to keep this post on topic.

FriendlyDoggo - why not start up a new post about the topic of evolution? Or maybe see if one already exists?

Re: Greg Stafford

Hi PoJ All I'm trying to say is I wouldn't take it personally. Even with people we know well we often struggle to ascribe motivation to their actions accurately. There are so many variables with people we don't know personally. It might be best just to assume that they also are struggling with some ...

Re: How did this start?

And speaking of personalities, it would be nice to get to know people as individuals as well, not just speaking about Bible topics, but social fellowship too. It's hard to express one's full persona when you're on a forum dedicated (mostly) to a single subject. I know that connections through this ...

Re: How did this start?

Hi Apollos, Thank you for this website you provide and many others for making DTT what it is. Love to all 🥰 Maria Thank you Maria. Positive feedback means a lot. As long as this remains a safe and healthy place for Christians and those interested in Christianity, then I see value in it. Of course a...

Re: Song of Songs/Solomon: Inspired or no?

Interestingly, many seem to criticise the JWs for abandoning this idea, but perhaps they were correct to in this case? Hi PoJ I agree with this. However, it should be acknowledged that this felt like a bigger adjustment for JW's than it would be for most other denominations. What I mean by that is ...
